James Threlfall was born on 14 November 1880 in Halsall, Lancashire to Thomas Threlfall & Jemima Halsall. He was employed by a local contractor in Southport prior to enlisting. He married Jane Linaker in 1911 James served in the Army as a Private in the King’s Liverpool Regiment, service no. 65559, then transferred to Western Command ( 52013) in WW1, and died on 12 January 1918 in Birmingham War Hospital, Worcestershire, England. He was buried 16 January 1918 in St. Cuthbert’s Churchyard, Churchtown, Southport.
