John Thomas Ball was born on 04 Feb 1885 in Southport, Lancashire to James Ball and Ellen Cadwell. He was employed a blacksmith in Southport prior to enlisting and married Mary Cooper in 1911. The had one son, Thomas Edward, in 1912. John served in the Army as a Private in WW1, service no. 25696 and died on 02 April 1921 in Southport, Lancashire, England. He was buried 06 April 1921 in St. Cuthbert’s Churchyard, Churchtown, Southport.
