Harry Seed was born on 31 March 1923 in Bolton, Lancashire to Harry Seed and Agnes Eleanor Thickins. He was employed by LMS Railway then as a building contractor for Sir Alfred McAlpine prior to enlisting. Harry served in the Royal Navy as an Ordinary Telegraphist in WW2, service no. P/JX 403969 and died on 18 July 1943 in Uxbridge, Middlesex, England. He was buried on 22 July 1943 in St. John’s Churchyard, Crossens, Southport.
